Why Knudt?
Knudt was already investigating the incident through publicly available data, was close, and was interested in getting to the truth. Knudt is logical, fact-based, focused, and detail-oriented. And one step removed from the direct involvement that Dyebat, CL, and I had in this incident.
Dyebat, CL and I are grateful that Knudt was willing to spend so much of her time to do this part for us, and for all the members of the Susan Boyle online community that wanted to know what really happened back in July.
Knudt spent months sifting through a variety of data, interviewing people, and asking questions. She did not begin posting until she was sure.
Why are these investigations taking so long?
The simple answer is that a number of people have gone to a lot of trouble to create confusion, distractions, and cover up the truth.
Why should we believe you?
Dyebat and I certify that the data we have collected (and/or have shared) is unaltered by us. Personally, I have kept copies of all data intact, all PC's used during my involvement, all email accounts and BaseCamp and CampFire accounts active for any potential legal investigations. In short, we stand behind our data and our findings. We stand behind Knudt and CL's integrity. We welcome any legal inquiries or investigations. Just be advised and aware that we have more data that cannot be posted publicly.
Dyebat and I will have more comments when Knudt's reporting is completed.
Now that we have learned who cause the disruption on the forum will it be explained why they caused it? Why did they want to drive you dyebat and CLady off the site? There must be more to this than rumors spread by a troll. If that were the case it would be a misunderstanding that could be resolved. Also if the current admin can't see through the machinations of a troll will this happen again.
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean the site is indirectly influenced by troll activity? I would think they could have investigated the trolls accusations a lttle more before they felt they had to resort to such drastic measures. It doesn't speak well of the admins abilites to run a fansite if you have to attack your own site to save it from trolls and rebels.
Thank you, lChris, for this and for clarifying a few points for people. This report contains very valuable and important information for all members of SBFII and all former members of that site. It truly has an impact on everyone, including fans of Susan Boyle who might not even have joined SBFII yet. Past, present and current members of that site are definitely affected by the information that is being relayed here.
ReplyDeleteI very much appreciate the enormous amount of time and effort that Knudt has put into this, as sifting through all that data must have been incredibly tedious. It couldn't have been an easy task or a fun one, but I am very thankful that she has cared enough about Susan Boyle and the welfare of Susan Boyle's fans to have carried out this project. I am thankful that you ALL have cared enough not to let the abuse of SBFII members' trust slip by, let it be pushed under the virtual carpet. What we are seeing in this report is definitely behavior on the part of certain parties, people who were in roles of responsibility, that was a major violation of trust. Big-time.
Something which I believe has confused some people is who is responsible for this report, and in your post here you've clarified that all of you are and that while Knudt is the one who has carried out the steps of sorting through the vast amounts of material in order to bring out the results to all of us, all four of you are solidly behind this. You have done well in your ongoing persistence to bring truth to light.
Another point which apparently has confused some people early on is the mention of police involvement.... It is my understanding that there is already police involvement in the separate investigation going on around the actions of the person that Dyebat has cleverly dubbed "the Dementor." That is a separate investigation apart from this one. Obviously there is overlap and I suspect many actions in one situation have informed actions in the other one..... Here I just wanted to clarify that these are two separate investigations.

ReplyDeletelchris, I just want you to know how much I appreciate the efforts of the four of you to bring this into the open and get to the bottom of it. I is so good to clear the air, although I never doubted that you, Dyebat and CL would come out unscathed once this situation was looked into.

ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible amount of work by all of you. Thank you. You all present with amazing clarity the documented record that verifies what some of us suspected, and more. That the walkout was a conspiratorial charade seemed likely, but you have proved it, and that alone tells me that none of those involved are fit to hold any position, board, admin, mod, tech, or anything else, certainly at SBFII, and probably anywhere else. An accounting of their involvement in these events would not look good on anyone's resume. I hope everyone still at SBFII reads your accounting, as well as those who have left and those thinking of joining.

There's no doubt in my mind that Susan is being - and has been - actively victimized by those who have been clearly shown to be morally and ethically corrupt in administering and staffing a website that bears her name.

Time for a Declaration of Truth
"JudyOkla and Danileo created faux admin accounts to cause confusion and alarm on the forum. Other staff members spread lies about forum members, Dyebat and lchris. Pickled Tink helped cover up these activities. Compare that to the “transgressions” of Dyebat and lchris. They wanted to fill out the paperwork with Kalua’s identity and became suspicious when he refused to provide it."

I have always been very, very bothered by the turmoil of last July and CB's thread. Your report, which I firmly believe to be absolutely true, shows the unethical behavior of the staff at SBFII. I am appalled by it. To see good decent people treated so terribly and the fans deceived by TPTB is just beyond words. I wish I could do something to correct this great injustice.
I was unable to get into this blog for a while so have not been able to post any comments.

I agree with Janaki. You all have outdone yourselves and I feel proud of you. The effort that Knudt put into deciphering those materials is tremendous. Thank you all for exposing the ugly behaviour of the staff and administration of SBFII.
