A Few comments

Every so often I have to stick in a brief post so we don't get such big comment pile-ups that we can't tell which person or post the commenters are responding to.  So this post is meant for that purpose.  Just a few additional housekeeping items:  We can and do delete a very few comments for specific reasons.  One is unsubstantiated accusations made against other fans, (not the blog owners) especially if their real or screen names are used.  We've deleted 2 posts on that basis, but just wanted to let you know the reason.

Anonymice who hide behind proxies (mice in cat's clothing?) in order to harass and attack others without evidence will not have their comments posted.  You got something negative to say, state your name, and show your reasons. We don't need  ninja mice.

Disagreement is to be expected, but it can be done respectfully.  Which brings to mind something I was not aware of.  The term "ElseWhere"  (or EW) is apparently considered pejorative by some fans at SBFII, including those not involved in the current conflicts.  I apologize if I have offended any of them by using it here.

If you don't trust a site or the site owners, do not visit that site. Period. With or without a proxy, data is mined. You are not as private as you may want to believe that you are. Some proxy services (particularly free services) are used by spammers, scammers and other criminals. Be careful. The laws permit some online exposures of personal information. It is permitted for exposing malfeasance. Many companies and people have access to data online. Your ISP, your Host provider, web owners, your email provider, chat, email and forum participants. If your purpose is noble, why is there such a need for hiding your identity? When someone insists that you not tell anyone about who they are, what you talk about, and holds secret meetings - BE SUSPICIOUS.

  1. Thank you for keeping us posted on things, Dyebat and Chris! This is most appreciated.

  2. It's pathetic to hide behind a word. If someone can't sign a name to their thoughts, how important could they be? and why would we want to read them? I have no respect for anonymosity.

  3. I always take anyone who signs on as anonymous with a grain of salt. If you are afraid to come out of the shadows, in my opinion there is noting important about anything you say.

  4. Dyebat, I miss you and feel so dreadful for all that has gone on. I have read and read and still really don't fully understand all of it. I hope everyone settles down everywhere and that we can all get back to respectful debate, which I think is what you are aiming for. To quote A.A. Milne. "The third rate mind thinks with the majority, the second rate mind thinks with the minority and the first rate mind thinks." Here's to happy and healthy times for all of us.

  5. pardonmeboy from what I have read on all 3 blogs the current admin either approved or caused the fake inside hacking which disrupted the SBFII forum in July 2010 and then they blamed innocent members . When evidence was presented as to who caused it,the current admin plotted a cover up of the dishonest activities. They have never admitted to the truth and now they are banning members who question what happened and why. Dyebat as well as LChris and CLady had no choice but to move on since they were among those falsely accused and since they could not get justice . I think all must read the 3 blogs carefully and then ask the current admin questions if they indeed think the current admin is sincere as they claim
to be . If is a misunderstanding it could be resolved. But the evidence is to the contrary.

  6. You cannot read the three blogs any longer. I had them in my favourites and can no longer access them. I don't know if they were erased or how they were dismantled, but they no longer exist to members. I am glad that I had the opportunity to read them before they were dismantled.

  7. andyp, Not sure what is happening for you. The 3 blogs are up and available to all. Can you be more specific?

The blogs stay up until we finish the investigations and can report the rest of the story. The truth is important to some of us.

  8. It should be noted that, apart from the trolls trying to undermine others, there are many people who are afraid to use their names when posting here or on other sites. The sad fact is that fans are being stalked and their comments are being cited by the administrators at SBFI as reasons to threaten or punish them. This harassment is the most despicable kind of behavior. Members have been threatened with lawsuits, banned, placed in "time-out" or on "pre-moderation" for excercising their right to free speech. The admins at SBFI are deliberately creating a climate of fear and intimidation in the hopes of preventing people from discussing their deeds and misdeeds. Their disgraceful actions constitute cyber-bullying and should shame them all, if they were capable of such feelings.

  9. Sorry, Chris. I don't know where my head is. I thought she was talking about the three threads, the transparency thread, etc. I have to learn to differentiate between blogs and threads when I am feeling stressed. Maybe you should delete this and the other post that I said was deleted. I was talking about the other site. I apologize.

  10. andyp, thanks for explaining. I hear that the 'threads' on that forum are being 'archived'. Several people have noticed. I am not terribly worried. It fits a pattern, you know? Attempts to cover up and erase/modify what has happened won't work. Too many eye witnesses and copies out there.

  11. Thanks Chris. I really do feel guilty about going on the old forum. I feel by my presence I am acquiescing in a small way to what they are doing, although I was quite vocal on the transparency thread and the other two while they were going on. I feel a pull there, however, because I have my Canadian, eh! thread there and can keep up with Canadian news and my Canadian people and a few others. If I could just take my people to our new thread, things would be fine. I have a secret hope that our new thread will eventually capture them all anyhow. I know it is not your standard that I leave, but it really is my standard that I not acquiesce when I see injustice and stupidity go on so I do have a conflict.

  12. Awww, andyp that was so sweet, what you said. I don't think you should feel conflicted. If you ever leave that site it will be when the time is right for you. If you never leave, then that's ok too. Don't feel bad. That whole mess over there has been upsetting to many people in many different ways. It's really a shame that a few people can have that kind of impact when it is all so unnecessary.

  13. Xeno, you called it, they think they can control what we say, how we say it on other sites, also, they talk about us behind our backs, it's a double standard -- I will continue to be a PITA, so they can continue to moan about me.

  14. I have been told a few times now that kalua is not happy that I am posting in this blog. To kalua I say where should I post? Whenever I have opened threads on the SBFII site that bring up important issues on or about the forum they are either closed immediately or a while later after they are deemed to be "contentious". It is always interesting that the label "contentious" is given after the same people ALWAYS come in to disrupt them! As it stands now 8 out of 19 of my started threads have disappeared from the archives. Why is it important? Because present members and future members should be able to read the history of the site. If the administration was correct in their decision to close those threads, then why do they fear if members read those threads? Kalua has told me that if I do not "behave" I will be banned the next time there is an incident. Well, I am 61 years old! We, the members of SBFII, are ALL adults! Kalua, isn't it time for you to treat us as adults!

  15. bernicer: We have to have some place to express our thoughts, and thankfully we have that place. How sad to be suppressed and stifled. I like happiness, flowers and rainbows too, but life is not like that 100% of the time. It's not real, just a pretend perfect place, IMO.

  16. I have been a member of SBFII since its inception and have made many friends there. How sad that there has been such secrecy and injustices on a site bearing Susan's name. I, for one, will continue to express my opinions there and not let others force me off the site.

I was not surprised that so many threads have "disappeared" into the archives. One more way to control information and the history of what happened on the site. Shame on them. If they have spoken the truth, why hide it?
