Quick update on Financial matters

I have been informed today that the member who was my financial assistant  has not been given the passwords yet and may not be given them. She has been informed that she won't know if "they"  want her to continue until after the next Board meeting,  but doesn't know when that will be.  Questions to be asked:  Who made the decision to not give her the passwords, as she is next in line to manage finances?  Was that decision authorized by the Board or even the Treasurer?  Or have the administrators and staff acted on their own without authority?   Who is now overseeing the finances of the site?  Are the foxes now guarding the henhouse?

I have more to write on what has transpired to destroy financial accountability on that site from the beginning to the present, but I have to consult quite a few meeting transcripts and emails.

  1. I was wondering what would happen with the site financially - Dyebat you were not just the bidder, weren't you essentially the CFO of this NPO? I remember some talk in the beginning about a backup for you (can't recall now who it was) but no mention has been made of that person since your resignation. The thread discussing all of this was conveniently closed today - despite many (seemingly simple?) questions going unanswered such as why we haven't seen board meeting minutes for the last 3 months. Very disappointing actions going on at SBFII.

  2. Why am I not surprised.

    Disgusted, yes. Surprised, no.

Hopefully a few more eyes have been opened by the discussion surrounding your resignation, and more will be opened by what you and LChris post in this blog. Keep up the good work!

  3. I am glad for these blogs and appreciate Dyebat and LChris's hard work in behalf of many of us. I think some eyes are being opened because of this. I will always support you ladies through it all. It's time the truth comes out.

  4. I don't believe the administration and/or staff of the website ever plan to become transparent or accountable to the members.

  5. I am wondering if they can drop the NPO now. It seems to be heading in that direction.

  6. I am glad dyebat and kchris that you have a place where you can post the truth without a mod closing the thread. Without having people bully the posters.
Many fans are confused because they hear conflicting stories. They want to believe the staff but are conflicted. I know that your blog and posting here will shed light on unethical behavior.
My heart goes out to both of you, to the fans that are struggling and to those that are in strong support of you. I am glad you you are free now to tell your story the truth.

  7. I am very bummed about what is happening on the forum. I chose the people that I would support back in July when we had the big war. Those people were Dyebat, Lchris and Citroenlady.

  8. I have spent many hours reading the contentious threads on the forum.

What I have discovered is the unacceptable bias of TPTB, and worse, of their cronies and supporters. They are treating the entire membership with contempt. This has alarmed me.

I can only wish Dyebat, Lchris and CitroenLady all success in their quest to expose the truth.

  9. I find it difficult to trust someone who has accepted thousands of dollars with which to purchase a car and a website.
Be careful of what you sow.

  10. This is so disturbing. If EW was a record, it would be Under My Thumb.

  12. Martha Ellen (aka anonymous), Your IP is recorded when you are online - just FYI. Please be safe.

The Duende group sent dyebat money to replace her old unsafe car. Tree sent a $5,000 loan for the member loan for purchasing the susan-boyle.com sites the members won at auction. $4500 went to the seller and $500 was returned to Tree.

I am flattered if you think this site cost any money. LOL It's a free blogging service provided by Google.

$4,000 went to the seller and $500 to combine with the matching amount collected by Staff for operating expenses. lchris

  14. The most important thing is that the truth comes out so that Dyebat, LChris and CL's names can be cleared for once and for all.

There is so much support for transparency and truth that I am sure all will be revealed and I hope sooner rather than later.

Keep up the good work and we'll be there to support you wherever we can.

  15. Thank you for clearing it up that Anonymous is not Anonymous and for posting my name without my permission. I do appreciate your clarification of the finances. It is true, transparency is the best policy, and I will remember that per your warning, "Please be safe..." This admonition certainly is as good for the goose as for the gander.
    Very sincerely, and lesson learned.
    Ps,
I would like fair treatment for all, and that any and all anonymous posts from any and all, hence forth, have names disclosed.

  16. Anonymous, Your question was a valid one, yet submitted anonymously and worded that way was a bit sleazy. I named you to show you (and everyone else) that the internet is not as anonymous as you may believe. We all leave a trail of where we go and what we do online. Criminals go to great lengths to cover up their activity - the rest of us are vulnerable to the criminals. Just be aware, ok?

FYI, I don't need your permission to post your name. This is a publicly hosted and publicly available site. I did not post your last name or the rest of the information available to site admins.

Back to your original question. It's important to question those in authority on all things financial. Dyebat's car was paid for with monies collected by the Duende group. No SBFII involvement. If you need more details, feel free to email Dyebat.

You may also want to question why Dyebat was locked out of Paypal in the middle of reconciling the mirror donations. Both member Financial Team members and the SBFII Treasurer as well. No notice at all. It also seems that the OFFICIAL password holder wasn't informed either.

So, you may want to pursue this as it happens to be unethical and against the law. SBFII is a legal non-profit..awaiting tax-free status, but legal and must operate within the laws.

I will not name you (or anyone that posts anonymously) for criticisms and valid questions. This is not an echo chamber.

Transparency means that you own what you say and write and stand behind it. The hidden stuff swirling around has led to so much trouble.

Let's be up-front about our differences so we can work through them.

  17. Don't you just love a level playing field?
    I do!

  18. Lchris, the clarity with which you and Dyebat are dealing with this whole issue is to be commended and applauded.

You both have the knack of sticking to the facts, stating the facts and leaving the emotions out.

You are polite yet direct and courteous but straight.

We could all learn a lot from your style of dealing with issues and thus promoting transparency!!!

    Thank you.

  21. Hi Chris: I'm glad you called Anonymous (Martha Ellen) on her cheap shots. Who would have thunk until now that she was capable of being so mean spirited. Looking forward to hearing more from you and Dyebat.

  22. Thank you for this blog, Dyebat and lChris, where you can present your side of the story which you would not have been allowed on the forum. Dyebat, I am sorry for the mean spirited, snide comment about your car. I am very proud of the kind and generous people who hold you in such high esteem and who wanted to show their appreciation for what you have done and for what you have unfairly had to endure. Everything was very transparent in this endeavor. And you were very humble to accept this expression of our love for you. In accepting, you gifted us also. And I am proud to sign my forum name.
